Getting around Seoul

T-money transit card

A rechargeable T-money card is essential. Purchase one at the airport or any convenience store for about 5,000 won. Tap when boarding and when exiting buses or subways — failing to tap out may result in extra charges on your next trip.

Free transfers

Seoul offers free transfer benefits between bus-to-subway, subway-to-bus, or bus-to-bus (up to 4 times) within 30 minutes (60 minutes at night) at no extra base fare.

Note: Transfer discounts do not apply when transferring to the same bus route (prevents quick round-trip use).

Subway & bus

Most destinations are easily reachable by subway. Buses complement the subway network across the city.

Taxi & ride-hail

Taxis are relatively affordable. We recommend the Kakao T app (English supported) for taxis.

Navigation

Naver Map is strongly recommended for navigation in Seoul. Google Maps does not work as well locally.

KTX intercity trains

From Seoul you can easily take KTX trains to other Korean cities. The farthest major destination (Busan) is about a 3-hour ride.

By Car

Enter through the Main Gate (정문) and use the Baekyang-ro Underground Parking Lot (capacity: 917 vehicles), which is the closest parking lot to the School of Business. Standard campus parking fees apply.

Public biking (Ddareungi)

Seoul’s bike-share system Ddareungi (따릉이) is available citywide via the Ddareungi app; bikes must be returned to designated docks. Best routes are along Han River parks; urban bike lanes exist but downtown riding can be stressful during peak hours.
